If your payment terminal is malfunctioning, you can send a diagnostic report so that the information from the logs can be used to improve the software.
On the payment terminal, go to the Hardware diagnostics menu.
1. Select Settings and then Diagnostics.
On non-Android terminal models that use the old menu structure and have a keypad, select the star key and then Confirm.
On non-Android terminal models that use the old menu structure and don't have a keypad, select the Menu button and then Hardware diagnostics.
2. Under Diagnostic report, select Send report and the payment terminal will create a log file.
Once the report is sent, the terminal will not allow another report to be sent for 5 minutes. This prevents multiple reports with the same diagnostic logs.
